What to Expect:
- Volunteers walk alongside the horse and rider to give them physical stability and verbal encouragement.
- No horse experience required. Trinity provides a 2-hour beginner training and continued support!
- Sign up one month at a time for at least 1 hour per week.

Open Opportunities:
- 1 hour, once a week minimum. Scheduled one month at a time.

What is Adaptive Riding:
The Adaptive Riding program invites youth who have a unique physical or mental health diagnosis. Youth build core strength, communication skills, and social skills as well as benefit from emotional enrichment of therapeutic riding and equine-assisted learning.
What is Expected:
- Be emotionally aware and situationally aware of their surroundings to contribute to a healthy and safe therapeutic environment.
- Walk for 50 minutes in deep sand, and jog/run for short periods of time
- Pass a background check (free)
- Manage your own schedule, online
- Be at least 18 years of age or be age 14 and accompanied by an adult. Both need volunteer training.
- Keep an arm extended from their side for 50 minutes
- Contribute to a healthy and safe therapeutic environment
- Be a reliable, consistent contributor
- Follow directions, be flexible and responsive to changes in schedules, be patient, kind, and caring
