Volunteers should arrive between 4:00-4:30PM; the event runs 5:00-7:30 PM and volunteers must stay for the duration of the event.

Volunteers must sign a waiver prior to the event. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent sign.

Description

The Event

The Halloween Spooktacular is a free event for children hosted by the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District.

During the event, children and their families will trick-or-treat along three mini-golf courses, get glitter tattoos and balloon art, explore the Haunted Maze, visit our photobooth, and vote in the District's Employee Pumpkin Decorating Contest.

Approximately 600 children attend this event each year.

Your Role

You will be stationed along one of the mini-golf courses to distribute candy to trick-or-treaters. Family-friendly costumes strongly encouraged!

We may have up to 2 volunteers per station.

Benefits

You will help make this event a success for hundreds of local children and receive a voucher to use that day for a free meal. The meal includes a hot dog or hamburger, chips, and a drink.
