Elara Caring Hospice provides free volunteer training to prepare you as a Volunteer for the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life and receive more in return than you give.

We serve patients and their families in the Hill Country area including the greater Bexar, Guadalupe, Comal and Hays County.

Nursing and social worker students needed to visit with hospice patients and provide increased stimulation, engagement, companionship, and socialization. Learn more about hospice care while making a positive difference in the life of a patient. This is a great way to work towards your nursing or social work goals, gain experience, increase in the field diagnosis skills, develop your non-verbal communication skills, review patient charts and learn more about terminal diseases and the impact it has on a person's life. We can help you work towards you volunteer goals and course requirements!
