Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will own the end-to-end people experience at BizLeadhers, from the moment a volunteer joins us to the moment they transition out. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants real ownership, not just support.

    • Build relationships with communities, universities, and networks to attract mission-aligned volunteers

    Volunteer Lifecycle & Retention

    • Own the full volunteer lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to recognition and offboarding
    • Design and run quarterly onboarding refresher sessions for new and existing volunteers
    • Develop and implement retention initiatives that keep volunteers engaged and motivated
    • Conduct regular check-ins and pulse surveys to understand volunteer sentiment and flag concerns early
    • Manage the exit process including experience and relieving letters and virtual farewell sessions
    • Maintain and update the volunteer database ensuring accuracy at all times

    Volunteer Events & Culture

    • Plan and execute volunteer events including onboarding sessions, team celebrations, and recognition moments
    • Lead the Volunteer Spotlight Series to celebrate contributions and build community
    • Support culture-building initiatives such as HR Office Hours and IAmRemarkable workshops
    • Coordinate farewell sessions and exit recognition in line with the Exit Recognition Policy

    Data & Reporting

    • Maintain the volunteer database and ensure all records are accurate and up to date
    • Track key people metrics including volunteer headcount, tenure, retention, and open roles
    • Prepare regular HR updates for the CPO and leadership team
    • Use Monday.com to manage HR tasks, timelines, and project tracking

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Talent Acquisition
    • Experience across the full volunteer or employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, and retention
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
    • Comfortable with data and maintaining accurate records across HR systems
    • Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com is a plus
