VOLUNTEER MENTOR & PROGRAM SUPPORT — LEIGHA’S GIRLS

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada - In Person at a CCSD School

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Time Commitment: One hour per session

Program Time: The exact time is still being confirmed but will fall between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

About Leigha’s Girls

Leigha’s Girls is a Las Vegas nonprofit organization creating safe, supportive spaces where girls ages 10–18 can build confidence, strengthen life skills, develop healthy relationships, and discover the power of their own voices.

We are seeking dependable, encouraging volunteers to support our school-based mentorship programming at a Clark County School District school.

What Volunteers Will Help With

Volunteers will work alongside Leigha’s Girls staff to:

• Welcome participants and help create a warm, inclusive environment

• Assist with program setup, materials, attendance, and cleanup

• Support small-group discussions and hands-on activities

• Help facilitate lessons involving confidence, leadership, communication, healthy relationships, creative expression, and practical life skills

• Encourage girls as they participate, reflect, collaborate, and share their ideas

• Model respectful communication, healthy boundaries, accountability, and compassion

• Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive space for every participant

Volunteers will not be expected to lead the program alone. Curriculum, materials, and direction will be provided by Leigha’s Girls.

Required Qualifications

• Must currently reside in the Las Vegas Valley

• Must already have a current CCSD volunteer badge and be approved to volunteer inside CCSD schools

• Must be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or both for one-hour sessions between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM

• Must be dependable, patient, respectful, and comfortable working with girls and young adolescents

• Must maintain appropriate boundaries and protect participant confidentiality

• Must communicate reliably with Leigha’s Girls staff

Preferred - but Not Required:

Experience in mentoring, education, youth development, social services, counseling, nonprofit work, creative arts, leadership development, or community programming is welcomed but not required. A compassionate heart, consistency, and willingness to learn matter most.

This is an in-person volunteer opportunity in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leigha’s Girls cannot provide relocation assistance, housing, visa sponsorship, transportation, or financial compensation.
