    Description

    Our pet program is back and we need certified Pet Handlers and pets.

    If you would like to be a Pet Handler please contact Volunteer Services.

    18 years of age

    Pet Handlers and pets must meet all hospital and KCPetsforlife requirements

    Attend volunteer orientation

    First pet visit scheduled as a team

    Be friendly, relaxed, confident and interact positively with staff and patients

    Understanding typical animal behaviors particularly your pet and how to identify signs of pet

    stress, aggression or any discomfort on the pet visits

    Follow and adhere to hospital policy and procedure

    Set or flexible schedule for visits

    Opportunity available downtown and Lakewood locations
