Meals on Wheels Afternoon Assistant

Our Meals on Wheels program prepares and packages meals for nearly 300 Older Adults per day. Mornings involve dishing and sealing hot meals and afternoons involve packing cold lunch bags that get delivered with the hot food, the following day.

We are looking for 2 kinds of volunteers-

If interested in being a regular/weekly volunteer- we are looking for folks to help, weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 12-3pm.

If interested in being a sub- We have both morning shifts and afternoon shifts that are generally filled by regular volunteers, but anywhere from once every two weeks, to twice per week, we are seeking someone who could serve as a substitute when our regular volunteers are out for vacations, appointments, etc.

Interested volunteers must be flexible, comfortable working with food and comfortable working with a small, but strong team. If interested, please respond to this opportunity and you will hear from our volunteer manager, shortly.
