Circles provides opportunities that inspire and equip families and communities to not only resolve poverty, but to thrive. We believe that the ultimate responsibility for prosperity lies in the hands of not only the individual, but the community as a whole, and we have numerous volunteers within our program who make this possible.
At Circles Upstate SC, we believe in building community to create impactful change for families striving to exit poverty.
Circles Upstate SC is looking for volunteers for our 5th Circles Group taking place 5:15pm-7:30pm, every Wednesday evening over an 18-month journey. Our volunteers are committed to forming intentional friendships with our Circles program participants. Our program participants are individuals and families ready and willing to make a change in their lives to thrive, not just survive. Our participants set their own goals and map out their plan to reach them, and our volunteers support them in reaching their goals by offering experience, expertise, and networks. Our volunteers commit to taking an active role in supporting families to leave poverty for good, building long term intentional friendships, and being open to new perspectives. We pair two volunteers with one program participant.
Over the 18th month journey, we begin our weekly Wednesday night meetings by all participants and volunteers sharing a meal together. In the beginning weeks, after the meal participants and volunteers will receive training. After training is complete, volunteers will get to meet with their participants directly to support their goals and plans. Join us today and make a positive impact on your community!
Meals and childcare provided.
