    Volunteer Opportunity: Help a Pioneer in Homeopathic Medicine Publish Her Memoir

    Location: Des Moines, WA (Near 25825 18th Ave S, 98198)

    Client Profile: Elder with mild dementia, clear speech and thoughts, chronic pain and anxiety. Needs loud, clear communication. Unable to write due to hand issues.

    Project Overview:

    A trailblazer in homeopathic medicine is working on a memoir chronicling her personal and professional journey. She has already begun writing but now requires support to complete her story through interviews, transcription, and editing.

    We’re seeking compassionate, patient volunteers to help bring her vision to life.

    Volunteer Roles:

    • Interviewer: Engage in thoughtful conversations to help capture her story.
    • Transcriber: Convert audio recordings into written format.
    • Editor/Writer: Organize, refine, and prepare the manuscript for self-publication.
    • Publishing Support: Assist with formatting and navigating self-publishing platforms.

    Ideal Volunteers:

    • Experience in writing, editing, or publishing (preferred but not required)
    • Interest in homeopathic medicine or elder storytelling
    • Comfortable working with voice-to-text tools and editing transcripts
    • Willing to collaborate with the PACE team
    • Able to meet in person (at least one volunteer ideally)
