    Pro Bono Lawyer/Pro Bono In-House Counsel Team Member - Volunteer Position at CrowdDoing

    Overview:

    CrowdDoing, a joint initiative of Reframe It and M4A Foundation, is actively seeking U.S.-licensed attorneys to join our team as Pro Bono Lawyers/In-House Counsel Team Members. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide crucial legal support and guidance to our innovative and impactful organization, which is dedicated to fostering systemic change and multi-disciplinary collaboration for social good.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Legal Advisory and Compliance: Provide legal advice on matters related to non-profit operations, including compliance with federal and state laws, regulations governing non-profits, and intellectual property rights.
    2. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to support various organizational initiatives and partnerships.
    3. Risk Management and Governance: Assist in identifying legal risks and advising on governance structures and policies, ensuring legal and ethical integrity.
    4. Dispute Resolution: Offer counsel in resolving any legal disputes or potential litigations involving CrowdDoing.
    5. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with different departments within CrowdDoing to understand their legal needs and provide tailored advice.
    6. Legal Research and Updates: Conduct legal research and stay updated on new laws and regulations that may affect the organization and its operations.

    Requirements:

    • Active license to practice law in the United States.
    • Experience in legal practice, preferably with exposure to non-profit law, intellectual property, employment law, or corporate governance.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Commitment to the principles and mission of CrowdDoing.

    Time Commitment:

    • This is a volunteer position. We expect a flexible time commitment of 3 hours per week/month (to be determined based on your availability and our needs).

    Location:

    • This position is remote, allowing for flexible volunteering from any location in the U.S.
