Description
Farm Hand Volunteer
Role Overview: Our Farm Hand Volunteer will be a crucial part of our team, helping to build and improve key structures across the farm. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a passion for building, a knack for problem-solving, and a desire to see a project from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation: Help with ongoing repairs and building
- Infrastructure: Assist in building a new adobe structure and a shed for storage and rainy days.
- Water Systems: Install an irrigation system to support our gardens and new plantings.
- Farm Access & Safety: Build stairs for easy access to and from the main trail and outdoor classroom areas.
- Recreational Areas: Assemble and hang zipline, and build a floating bridge for the creek.
Time Commitment: This is an as-needed, project-based role. We'll coordinate with you on specific tasks and time commitments that fit your schedule.
Skills & Qualifications: We are looking for individuals with experience in carpentry, general construction, or a strong willingness to learn. Your skills and willingness to serve are more valuable than any prior experience.
