    We are seeking passionate volunteers with education or education-adjacent experience and a love of people. Your skills and enthusiasm will help us inspire and empower.

    Speaking Partner

    If you can imagine a world where all parents can read to their children, speak for themselves at doctor's appointments, and understand subway signs, then we need you.

    Speaking Partners can serve as an in-class conversation facilitators or one-on-one conversation partners. We strengthen families through a two-generation approach to education. With our free classes, low-income parents in New York City develop the literacy and language skills they need to succeed in today's world. Our research-based curriculum also incorporates child development and parenting support to help parents boost their children's early reading, school readiness, and social-emotional growth. Literacy Partners is looking for compassionate Volunteers to help us strengthen and expand our online adult education programs.

    Classes will start on the beginning of February, in the meantime before your first session, please complete the following:
