Description
Help our seniors as they prepare their take home meals at UCOM’s Batch Meal Prep class. Help create a supportive, dignified experience. As a Batch Meal Prep Assistant, you’ll help neighbors build meals healthy meals to take home and share with their neighbors.
In this role, you will:
- Assist the program manager for the class (set-up and clean-up)
- Help carry or place items on tables
- Maintain program integrity (no eating, saving, or taking food)
- Follow food safety standards, including proper food separation, safe handling of meats, and keeping food elevated and organized
Position requirements:
- Able to lift at least 10 lbs
- Comfortable standing and walking slowly for a 2 hour shift
- Willing to assist with brief set-up or clean-up
- Reliable transportation for off-site locations
We’re looking for someone patient, attentive, and kind—someone who enjoys one-on-one interaction and wants to help seniors shop with confidence and care.
