Civicom Aid is a registered non profit Public Benefit Organisation, an NGO, based in Mombasa, Kenya. We work across Kenya and Uganda.

Our Education Access Pathway helps children and young people access quality education (SDG 4: Quality Education).

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly volunteer to help us raise financial support for our six Education Access Pathways.

This is an unpaid, remote role. It suits someone who wants to give their time and skills to a cause they care about. Our team will support you throughout, and we can adjust the pace and workload to fit your availability.

What You Will Do

As our Remote Fundraiser, you will help us find funding and build relationships with people and organisations who want to support children and young people in education.

Your Roles

• Help find funding, such as individual donors, foundation donors, and corporate donors, that fit our education work
• Help write funding proposals, donor appeals, and updates on our impact
• Use other fundraising methods you already have skills and experience in
• Join occasional remote check-ins to share updates and plan next steps

Qualifications

• Interest in fundraising, grant writing, or non profit work — no experience needed, we will guide you
• Able to work independently and flexibly across time zones
• A real interest in education access or helping children and young people thrive
• Non profit or NGO experience is a bonus, not a must

• Location: Fully remote — open to volunteers anywhere
• Time: Flexible, we will agree what works for you
• Length: We suggest a short, no pressure trial period first, so we can both see if it is a good fit. You can continue after that if you would like to
• Support: You will work closely with our Executive Director and team, who are there to help you
