Facility Legal Advocates - Join the Movement for Prison Justice

    Who:

Law students, paralegals, lawyers, or pre-law students

    What:

Partner with committees of incarcerated individuals and their loved ones to address facility issues through legal research, advocacy, and support.

    When:

    • 1-hour Zoom meeting every other week
    • ~3 hours of legal research or advocacy work every two weeks

    Why:

Legal support can make a huge difference in the day-to-day realities of people in prison. This is a powerful learning opportunity and a meaningful way to connect with the lived experiences of incarceration and the work of the Minnesota Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee (MN IWOC).
