    Description

The Davies Project is seeking compassionate and reliable volunteers to provide transportation for children and their caregivers, expectant and postnatal mothers, and parents traveling to visit infants in the NICU, ensuring families can access essential medical care across the Greater Lansing and Kalamazoo areas. This link has more information and the application.

Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to provide rides—it’s like a neighbor helping a neighbor. While this is a volunteer role, mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per passenger mile is available.

    • Interact compassionately with children and families
    • Are reliable, and punctual
    • Can drive in a variety of weather conditions
    • Respect confidentiality of all personal and medical information
    • Value and respect diverse backgrounds and cultures

    Required:

    • At least 21 years of age
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Safe driving record
    • State-required auto insurance
