Rewarding Hospital Volunteer Opportunities at MedStar Health!

Want to make a difference in other people's lives in your community? Then come volunteer at MedStar Health's Good Samaritan Hospital!

We have great opportunities for adults, college and high school students.

• If you are in college, please email Jeannie.B.McLeod@MedStar.net for information about our Student Guest Ambassador Program.
• If you are in high school, we only accept applications for our Jr. Summer Volunteer Program starting in early March.

If you are an adult (NOT in college or post grad medical track), these are our opportunities:

• Play or sing soothing music for our patients and visitors! - HIGH DEMAND
• Provide friendly pet visits throughout the hospital. Pet must be certified through Pets on Wheels of MD. HIGH DEMAND
• Pamper our patients by brushing or braiding their hair or polishing their nails. - HIGH DEMAND
• Make crafts or bring books/magazines/playing cards to patients to help them pass the time and stay positive!
• Smile and say good morning to our health care associates at our entrance! Perfect for early risers!
• Donate these items (in good shape) to keep our patients happy and engaged: crayons, colored pencils, magic markers, coloring books, puzzle books, magazines, novels, nail polish, emery boards, combs, readers, gifts of knitted blankets, scarves or mittens.
