Greet Patients as an Ambassador at Danbury Hospital (Wayfinding)

Role Overview

We are seeking friendly and compassionate volunteers to serve as Hospital Entrance Greeters at our Praxair Entrance to Danbury Hospital. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. YOU are the Director of First Impressions! Volunteers will assist with wayfinding, provide directions, and offer occasional wheelchair transport to ensure a smooth and positive experience for everyone entering the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet patients, visitors, and staff as they arrive at the hospital entrance.
• Provide clear directions and assist with wayfinding throughout the hospital.
• Offer support with wheelchair transport when needed.
• Answer general questions and help maintain a calm, helpful atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff to address visitor needs.

• Friendly, approachable, and patient demeanor.
• Ability to walk and assist with wheelchair transport as needed.
• Comfortable interacting with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.

Shifts: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
