    Description

Make a difference in a young person’s life by volunteering with Lake Erie Ink.

If you like creative writing, have a story to share, a skill to teach, a subject you know a lot about, then we need you! Lake Erie Ink relies on volunteers, ages 15 and up, to work with participants in our programs.

Volunteering at Lake Erie Ink is an ideal way to share your strengths and skills with young people in our community, gain valuable experience, and even meet service requirements at your school or university.

    Our volunteers:

    • Connect one-on-one with school age youth
    • Provide academic support and tutoring
    • Encourage youth to use writing as a tool for self expression
    • Act as role models and mentors for youth in our community

    Volunteer opportunities are available for:

    • After school homework help Mon-Thurs 3:00-5:30
    • Evening and weekend creative writing workshops
    • Summer creative expression camps
    • In-school writing support
    • Publications and other media

Orientation and ongoing volunteer training is provided.
