    Description

    Development Director

    The Development Director plays a crucial role in driving fundraising initiatives for IAABC Foundation. This position involves strategizing and implementing effective fundraising campaigns to support the organization's mission and programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet financial goals.
    • Develop a deep understanding of IAABC Foundation offerings, including courses, live events, the IAABC Foundation Journal, research, and other projects.
    • Collaborate internally to align fundraising efforts with the organizational communication and marketing strategy.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential and existing donors, sponsors, and partners.
    • Work closely with the team to integrate fundraising messaging into overall organization initiatives.
    • Adhere to operational workflows and guidelines for fundraising activities.
    • Maintain brand voice and integrity across all fundraising communications.
    • Ensure fundraising activities align with organizational goals.
    • Develop the fundraising team and oversee team positions.
    • Maintain a consistent presence by participating in team meetups and ongoing communication in team Slack channels as needed.

    Job Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Knowledge of fundraising principles
    • Technological skills, including familiarity with Customer Relationship Management systems
    • Analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns
    • Polite, clear, and responsive communication skills
    • Cultural competency and strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work and manage team members effectively in a remote, diverse, international team environment
    • Team communication using Slack
    • Availability to volunteer 10-12 hours per week
