14 year-olds must volunteer with parent / guardian present. 15-17 year olds must have adult permission, and will not be alone with adult volunteers or staff. Please see minor rules on application for full information.
Description
These volunteers help build relationships with schools, libraries, senior centers, scouts, camps, community groups, and event organizers.
What they do
- Contact schools, libraries, and organizations
- Coordinate museum visits and group trips
- Arrange outreach visits and presentations
- Help schedule fairs, festivals, and tabling events
- Represent the museum in the community
- Help identify new partnership opportunities
Ideal for people who:
- Like talking with people
- Enjoy organizing and planning
- Are community-minded
- Have experience in customer service, education, nonprofit work, or event planning
Important note
This role can be fully remote for some volunteers. That makes it much less intimidating and opens the door for retirees, parents, or people who can’t physically volunteer onsite often.
