    Description

    IT Support for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

    The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) uses certified volunteers to assist those with low and moderate-income in preparing and submitting their income tax returns. We have approximately 20 laptops and 6 printers that are used by multiple volunteers from January through April. We are looking for a volunteer to join our IT support and maintenance team. Tasks include:

    • Installing updates to operating system, drivers and software on all laptops in January in preparation for use during the tax season
    • Ensuring appropriate security precautions on each laptop throughout tax season
    • Maintaining an inventory of computer equipment
    • Providing troubleshooting via phone or site visits as needed during tax season
    • Checking equipment setup and status at site as needed
    • Updating content on Google website
