Community Cabinet Coordinator
Details
Description
Duties
The Community Cabinet Coordinator(s) will help support the newly launched Community Resource Cabinet. We wanted to provide both a place for people and business to donate stuff, as well as provide some everyday things to people using our space. In addition to stuff, each of the bins on this shelf has a half-sheet of information on where to source food/toiletries/clothing/etc, as well as where to donate. Our overall goal is to destigmatize need, have some purely fun stuff in this cabinet, and normalize people taking and leaving things.
Community Resource Cabinet — a take-what-you-need, leave-what-you-can space designed to support and care for one another. Stocked with everyday essentials like snacks, pens, toiletries, and more, it’s here for anyone who could use a little extra. Together, we can keep our library a place of generosity, dignity, and community connection.
Qualifications
The Community Cabinet Coordinator(s) will stop by once/week, check and re-stock bins as necessary. The library will have 2-3 large bins in storage with re-stock donations. Ideally, our Community Cabinet Coordinator(s) will also help source and collect donations from the community, for example through local Facebook parent groups or similar.
PHYSICAL:

SKILLS:
Organization, reliability/time management, communication, customer service, community outreach, comfort with social media platforms to post donation requests, understanding of inclusivity.
