Legislation Action Committee for Domestic Violence

Zero Tolerance for Domestic Abuse is forming a Legislative Action Committee, and we're looking for passionate volunteers to help research, develop, and advocate for meaningful legislation that improves victim safety and offender accountability in Colorado.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved from the very beginning of what we hope will become a statewide effort to strengthen protections for survivors.

We're looking for volunteers with a variety of skills and interests, including:

• Research and data collection
• Writing and editing
• Public policy or legal experience
• Criminal justice or victim advocacy
• Communications and social media
• Event planning
• Community outreach
• Graphic design
• Administrative and organizational support

You do NOT need experience in legislation.

If you care about reducing habitual domestic violence cases and want to use your talents to create positive change, we'd love to have you on our team.

Committee members may assist with:

• Researching laws and best practices from other states
• Reviewing data and academic studies
• Developing educational materials
• Building partnerships with community organizations
• Planning community presentations and awareness campaigns
• Assisting with legislative outreach
• Supporting the development of a proposed Colorado bill
