Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, qualified and knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our HR department by managing various functions related to employee relations, recruitment, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
Duties
- Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company.
- Manage recruiting efforts including posting job openings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist with workers' compensation claims as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records through data entry and management of HR systems such as Paychex and Dayforce.
- Support change management initiatives by communicating policies and procedures effectively to staff.
- Ensure compliance with employment labor laws and regulations, providing guidance on HR policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with business objectives.
- Prepare contracts for new hires and manage contract renewals as necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in change management principles to facilitate transitions within the organization.
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to assess candidates effectively.
- Experience with employee orientation processes to enhance new hire experiences.
- Familiarity with HR software platforms such as Paychex and Dayforce for efficient data management.
- Knowledge of employment labor laws to ensure compliance across all HR activities.
- Ability to handle workers' compensation inquiries and claims with sensitivity and accuracy.
- Excellent data entry skills for maintaining up-to-date employee information.
