Auburn, Help Make a Difference in the Lives of Seniors

Are you looking for something fun to do... do you like to drive... do you want to make a difference? If yes to any of these questions, volunteer driving with Sound Generations' Volunteer Transportation Services may be a perfect fit.

Volunteer drivers, using their own vehicle (mileage reimbursement is an option), help older adults maintain their independence by taking them to medical appointments. Riders are enormously grateful for their improved access to medical care, meaningful interactions with caring volunteers, and increased peace of mind.

This opportunity is very flexible: drivers choose how many rides they want to give each week, what day and time, and to what area they want to drive. Many volunteers drive once a week, some much more and others less. Rides are available at least a week in advance.

Honestly, our volunteer drivers do a lot more than drive, they provide assurance, connection and companionship. Help make a difference in the lives of seniors near you by becoming a volunteer driver.
