Volunteer Holistic Health Membership Team Member

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Reports To: Volunteer Director of Holistic Health Partnerships and Memberships

Position Summary

The Volunteer Holistic Health Membership Team Member supports the development and growth of a professional membership network composed of holistic and integrative healthcare practitioners. Working collaboratively with the Volunteer Director of Holistic Health Partnerships and Memberships, this volunteer helps recruit healthcare professionals, build relationships with wellness providers, support educational programming, and maintain a trusted wellness resource directory for community members.

This role contributes to the organization's mission of promoting health equity, wellness education, preventive care, community healing, and access to holistic health resources. Team members help create meaningful partnerships with healthcare professionals who are committed to educating and empowering individuals on their wellness journeys.

Responsibilities and Duties

Membership Recruitment and Outreach

• Assist in identifying and contacting prospective members from the holistic and integrative health community.
• Support recruitment efforts targeting professionals in functional medicine, naturopathic medicine, integrative medicine, chiropractic care, nutrition, mental health, wellness coaching, acupuncture, and related fields.
• Conduct outreach through email, phone calls, networking events, social media, and community partnerships.
• Help explain membership benefits and participation opportunities to prospective members.
• Assist with onboarding new members and responding to inquiries.

Provider Directory Support

• Collect and organize healthcare provider information for inclusion in the wellness resource directory.
• Maintain accurate records of member profiles, specialties, credentials, and contact information.
• Assist with updating and verifying provider listings.
• Support efforts to ensure directory information remains current and user-friendly.

Event and Speaker Coordination

• Assist in recruiting healthcare professionals to serve as speakers, panelists, workshop facilitators, and event participants.
• Help coordinate educational events, wellness workshops, webinars, health fairs, and community outreach programs.
• Support event logistics, communications, scheduling, and participant follow-up.
• Assist with collecting speaker bios, presentation materials, and promotional content.

Marketing and Communications

• Support membership marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
• Help create outreach materials, newsletters, social media content, and member communications.
• Share information about membership opportunities within professional and community networks.
• Assist with promoting educational programs and wellness events.

Member Engagement

• Help foster positive relationships with members and partners.
• Assist in creating opportunities for member recognition, networking, and collaboration.
• Gather feedback from members to improve programs and services.
• Encourage participation in organizational activities and events.

Administrative Support

• Maintain membership records and databases.
• Track outreach efforts, member engagement, and participation metrics.
• Assist with preparing reports, meeting notes, and program documentation.
• Support the implementation of membership policies, procedures, and workflows.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in healthcare, wellness, nonprofit organizations, customer service, marketing, membership programs, or community outreach.
• Familiarity with holistic, integrative, or functional healthcare approaches.
• Experience coordinating events, volunteers, or professional networks.
• Background in communications, relationship management, or business development is a plus.
