    Description

Volunteer Webmaster - Help us reach more people!

    About Anything Helps

Anything Helps is a Washington State 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides Medicaid-funded case management services to people experiencing homelessness across King, Snohomish, Pierce, and Kitsap counties. Our organization is led by and staffed with people who have experienced homelessness themselves, and we deliver services directly in the field, meeting people where they are both physically and emotionally. We are close team doing critical work across the puget sound, and we need help making sure our online presence reflects that.

    What We Need

We are looking for a volunteer webmaster who can help us get more out of our website and the digital tools we already have in place. Our domain is hosted on Hostinger and our site is built and hosted through Lovable (an AI-assisted web development platform). We need someone who understands how these tools work together and can help us make sure nothing is falling through the cracks.

    Specifically, we need help with:

    • Google Analytics integration. We need to confirm that Google Analytics is properly connected to our site, tracking the right events, and giving us usable data about who visits and what they do when they get there.
    • Google Ad Grants. We have a Google Ad Grants account (up to $10,000/month in free Google Ads for nonprofits), and we need help setting up and managing campaigns that drive real traffic to our site.
    • SEO optimization. We want to make sure our site is structured, tagged, and written in a way that helps people find us when they search for services, volunteer opportunities, or information about homelessness in Washington State.
    • Conversion goals. We want more online donations, more volunteer sign-ups, more interest in our open board positions, and more visibility for our work. We need someone who can help us build toward those outcomes through the site itself.

Bonus Project: MIRA (Resource Navigation Tool)

We are also developing a resource project called MIRA that crawls the Washington 211 website and provides a chat interface to help people find services like shelter, food, and healthcare. If you have experience with web scraping, APIs, chatbot interfaces, or AI-assisted tools and want to contribute to something that directly helps people find resources, we would love your help on this project too.

    What We're Looking For

    • Familiarity with Hostinger (domain/DNS management) and modern site-building platforms like Lovable
    • Experience with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, and Google Ad Grants
    • Understanding of on-page and technical SEO
    • Comfort working with a small nonprofit team that moves fast and communicates primarily through Slack
    • Ability to work independently and flag issues or opportunities as you find them

You do not need to be an expert in all of these areas. If you are strong in one or two and willing to learn the rest, that works for us. If you are a student looking for an internship or have practicum requirements you need to meet, we have an amazing software engineer that is willing to supervise you and sign off on your working hours with us.

    Why This Matters

We pride ourselves on paying our staff competitive wages, and every dollar we raise and every volunteer we recruit helps us retain and support the most experienced and knowledgeable case managers in the field as they work directly with people living outside and help them stabilize by securing housing, employment and treatment. Our website is one of the main ways people discover us, and right now we are not getting the most out of it. Your skills will directly contribute to our ability to reach the people who need us the most.

    To Apply

Send us a short message about your background and which parts of this project interest you most. We will set up a call to talk through the details and figure out how to get started.
