    Volunteer Project Manager

    Mission

    Our mission is to help women and children heal from violent environments and achieve self-sufficiency through holistic support, including career development, housing, and financial assistance.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and mission-driven Volunteer Project Manager to support the coordination and execution of key organizational initiatives, programs, and events. This role is ideal for someone who excels at planning, tracking timelines, and keeping teams aligned and accountable in a collaborative nonprofit environment.

    The Volunteer Project Manager will play a central role in setting up and managing timelines for the organization’s strategic plan across all programs and events, ensuring deliverables remain on track, and supporting cross-functional coordination. This position will also assist the Volunteer Coordinator and Grant Manager with project-related tasks, oversee event project management, maintain the Marketing and Grant Team calendars, and provide regular updates on overall event progress and organizational milestones.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Planning & Timeline Management

    • Develop and maintain timelines aligned with the organization’s strategic plan for all programs and events
    • Break down large initiatives into clear, manageable milestones and action steps
    • Monitor progress and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met across departments
    • Provide timeline updates and status reports to leadership as needed

    Project Coordination & Deliverables Tracking

    • Keep projects, campaigns, and organizational initiatives on task and on schedule
    • Track deliverables, follow up on assignments, and support team accountability
    • Identify potential delays and proactively recommend solutions
    • Maintain organized project documentation and tracking systems

    Event Project Management

    • Project manage organizational events from planning through execution and follow-up
    • Coordinate timelines, task lists, and logistics in collaboration with internal teams
    • Ensure event-related deliverables, promotions, and materials are completed on time
    • Support post-event reviews and process improvements

    Cross-Team Collaboration & Support

    • Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with scheduling, task organization, and volunteer-related projects
    • Support the Grant Manager with grant timelines, documentation tracking, and deadline coordination
    • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines

    Calendar & Organizational Updates

    • Manage and maintain the Marketing Team calendar and Grant Team calendar
    • Ensure campaigns, grant deadlines, events, and key initiatives are accurately scheduled and updated
    • Provide regular updates on overall events, timelines, and project progress
    • Help streamline workflow systems for improved organizational efficiency

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in project management, operations, or nonprofit coordination (volunteer or professional)
    • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
    • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
    • Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday, Google Workspace, etc.) preferred
    • Detail-oriented, dependable, and solution-focused
    • Passion for nonprofit work and community impact
