Volunteer Jewelry Ambassador (U.S., Local)

About us

We work with an amazing group of women in Uganda who make handmade jewelry and other crafts. They're paid a fair wage for every piece they create, and we cover all the cost of materials. The profits from sales help run our programs and keep kids in school.

We have a lot of beautiful jewelry currently sitting in the US and we need people to help get it into people's hands.

What you'd do

We're looking for volunteers who want to host jewelry parties, sell at local craft and farmers markets, or reach out to stores about carrying the jewelry wholesale. You don't need sales experience. You just need to care about the work and be willing to talk to people.

Responsibilities

• Talk with customers about LOT2545 and the work we do (we'll brief you and give you an FAQ before you start)
• Organize at least one jewelry party or event each month
• Record sales and count up the money at the end of each event
• Keep track of inventory and let us know when you're running low
• Turn in the money and your inventory sales sheet after each event
• Reach out to stores in your community or online about wholesale partnerships
• Look up craft and farmers markets in your area and book booths, especially during the holiday season

Details

• Volunteer, based wherever you live in the U.S.
• Flexible schedule, about one event a month
• LOT2545 covers booth fees for craft and farmers markets(when decided in advance and agreed upon)
• We'll send you jewelry inventory and all items you need for the booth(literature, inventory, etc)
