Art Class Volunteer – Inclusive Community Arts Programs
Shoreline and North Seattle Area
Art For All is seeking volunteers to assist during inclusive art classes for adults with developmental and physical disabilities.
Volunteers help instructors create a welcoming, supportive, and creative environment during classes and activities. Responsibilities may include helping participants stay engaged, assisting with supplies and projects, setup and cleanup, and offering encouragement and social support during class activities.
No prior experience working with people with disabilities is required. Volunteers do not teach classes independently, and all training and on-site guidance are provided by Art For All staff and instructors.
We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds, including students, retirees, artists, creatives, and community members interested in inclusive arts and community engagement.
Volunteer opportunities are flexible and may range from occasional participation to ongoing involvement. Most volunteer shifts for classes are approximately 2 hours.
Typical volunteer activities may include:
- Assisting during art classes and creative activities
- Helping with setup and cleanup
- Supporting instructors during group activities
- Encouraging participant engagement and social connection
- Assisting at occasional community events and exhibits
