    Description

In collaboration with the Capital Area Food Bank and the Child Health Advocacy Institute, the Children’s National primary care clinic in Columbia Heights has opened a Food Pharmacy program that provides over 200 distributions of free, nutritious food to their patients every month. Food Pharmacy Volunteers support the program’s food deliveries and packing at our Columbia Heights location. There is also opportunity to support data collection and data analysis efforts to track usage of food distributions for those who are interested. Must commit to a weekly shift of two to four hours for a year. Students can receive community service and internship hours.
