In collaboration with the Capital Area Food Bank and the Child Health Advocacy Institute, the Children’s National primary care clinic in Columbia Heights has opened a Food Pharmacy program that provides over 200 distributions of free, nutritious food to their patients every month. Food Pharmacy Volunteers support the program’s food deliveries, packing, and patient education. Students can receive community service hours.
