    Description

    Rising Now Inc. is a youth development nonprofit based in Charlotte, NC. We empower middle and high school students by helping them build life skills, confidence, and professional readiness through mentorship, workshops, and internships.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a creative and organized Social Media Specialist to plan, create, and manage content across our social media platforms. The ideal candidate will help grow our online presence, increase engagement, and promote our programs to students, mentors, and community partners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Plan and implement engaging social media strategies aligned with our mission and target audience.
    2. Create and publish on-brand content (graphics, videos, stories, etc.) using Canva
    3. Maintain a consistent content calendar in collaboration with the Executive Director and communications team.
    4. Analyze and report on social media performance; identify trends and suggest improvements.
    5. Support and guide youth interns with content ideas, social media best practices, and publishing.
    6. Assist with special projects, campaigns, and events as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree (or equivalent experience).
    • Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik-tok, etc).
    • Strong writing and visual communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Canva
    • Passion for youth development and community engagement.
