Are you looking for something fun to do... do you like to drive... do you want to make a difference? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, being a volunteer driver with Sound Generations is worth pursuing.
Using their own vehicle (mileage reimbursement is an option), a volunteer driver helps older adults maintain their independence by taking them to much needed medical appointments. Clients are enormously grateful for their improved access to medical care, meaningful interactions with caring volunteers, and increased peace of mind.
As a volunteer driver you determine the amount of rides you want to give, what days and times, and in what area you want to drive. Most volunteers drive once a week, some much more and some less.
Honestly, volunteer drivers do a lot more than drive, they help provide a sense of independence and offer human connection and companionship. Make a huge difference in the life of senior near you by becoming a volunteer driver!
