    Description

Help us tell a powerful story that brings more awareness to brain cancer.

    About Brain2Brain

Brain2Brain is a nonprofit organization supporting people affected by Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.

Our mission is to help find a cure for brain cancer and brain tumors through research, awareness, and community support. We are here for patients, families, friends, and caregivers navigating an incredibly difficult journey.

Brain2Brain was created from a deeply personal experience, and we are working to build understanding, compassion, and action around a disease that affects so many lives.

    About the role

We are looking for a volunteer script writer to help us develop a short film script connected to our mission.

This role is for someone who can take real emotion, human experience, and purpose-driven storytelling and shape it into a script that feels honest, moving, and clear. We want to create something meaningful that raises awareness and connects with people in a powerful way.

This is not about writing something overly dramatic. It is about telling a human story with sensitivity, depth, and purpose.

    What you will help with

    • Develop and write a short film script based on the themes and mission of Brain2Brain
    • Help shape the narrative, tone, characters, and emotional arc
    • Turn ideas, experiences, or real-life inspiration into a strong and coherent script
    • Collaborate with our team to make sure the story reflects the heart of the organization
    • Revise and refine the script based on feedback

    Who we are looking for

We would especially love to hear from someone who has:

    • Experience writing scripts, screenplays, short films, or other narrative storytelling work
    • A strong sense of emotional pacing, dialogue, and structure
    • The ability to write with sensitivity around serious human topics
    • A collaborative and thoughtful approach
    • Experience in film, creative writing, screenwriting, or storytelling is strongly preferred

Please note: we are looking for someone with some prior writing experience. This role is best suited to a person who has already written scripts, short films, or story-driven content before.

    Why join us

    • You will help tell a story that can move people and raise awareness
    • Your work can support a meaningful mission connected to real lives and families
    • You will be part of a purpose-driven organization working to make a difference
    • This is a chance to use your creative skills for something deeply meaningful

    Time commitment

Flexible, depending on availability and scope

    Remote / hybrid / in-person

    To apply

    Please send us:

    • A short introduction
    • Your CV or LinkedIn profile
    • A few lines about your experience with script writing, screenwriting, or storytelling
    • Samples of previous work, if available
    • If you are a thoughtful storyteller who would like to use your writing skills to support a meaningful cause, we would love to hear from you.
