Youth Mentor

Are you passionate about supporting youth, building meaningful connections, and making a real impact in your community? If so, YTC is looking for YOU!

We’re seeking dedicated mentors who are excited to engage with young people through guidance, creativity, and encouragement. This is a meaningful volunteer opportunity for individuals who want to share their experience, guidance, and encouragement with young people in a structured mentorship program.

About the Role

As a Youth Mentor, you will work closely with a mentee to help them build confidence, explore career and creative interests, and develop personal and professional goals. Mentors will also have the opportunity to contribute to group workshops and community-building experiences.

We are especially interested in mentors with experience or passion in areas such as:

• Entrepreneurship
• Fashion
• Media & Communications
• Wellness & Personal Development
• Creative Industries (art, design, music, content creation, etc.)
• Community Engagement & Social Impact

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for supporting youth development and empowerment
• Curiosity, patience, and a willingness to build meaningful, supportive relationships
• Consistency and commitment (approximately 5 hours per month, flexible)
• Willingness to share personal experiences, career journeys, and practical skills
• Interest in helping mentees with confidence building, goal setting, creativity, and professional exploration
• Ability to maintain ongoing communication and engagement with a mentee throughout the program
• Availability to lead or co-lead approximately 2–3 workshops per year

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one mentorship and guidance to a young person
• Support goal setting, personal growth, and career exploration
• Share insights from your own professional or creative journey
• Participate in occasional workshops and group sessions
• Offer encouragement, accountability, and consistent communication

Time Commitment

• Approximately 5 hours per month (flexible based on availability)
• Additional commitment for 2–3 workshops per year
