    5-10 hours weekly from 3 months before launch to 2 weeks post-event. Weekly hours vary but won’t exceed 10, with some weeks needing less time. Commitment spans ~4 months total, adjusting as tasks ramp up and wind down.

    Are you passionate about vegan food, community engagement, and expanding vegan options in your city?

    Join Vegan Outreach as Lead Volunteer Organizer for the Vegan Chef Challenge, a month-long celebration of vegan cuisine in your city!

    What is the Vegan Chef Challenge (VCC)?

    The VCC is a fun and impactful event designed to dramatically increase vegan options in cities across the country. It lasts for an entire month, and for 2026, it can be organized for launch in June, July, August and October.

    Lead Organizer Requirements

    • Organize a VCC with at least two other volunteers
    • Commit to the entire event from start to finish, which takes about 3 months

    We are specifically looking to organize VCCs in cities with a metro population between 70,000 and 300,000.
