    Volunteer Grant Writer and Fundraising Assistant

    Good News Jail and Prison Ministry Tanzania is a faith-based organization dedicated to providing spiritual support, counseling, and rehabilitation to the incarcerated population. As we expand our reach in Tanzania, we are seeking a passionate volunteer to help us secure the resources needed to transform lives behind bars.

    Responsibilities As a Volunteer Grant Writer and Fundraising Assistant, your primary goal will be to help our ministry become financially sustainable. Your tasks will include:

    • Grant Research: Identifying international foundations, NGOs, and religious organizations that provide grants for prison ministry and social justice in Africa.
    • Proposal Writing: Drafting and submitting high-quality grant applications and letters of inquiry to potential donors.
    • Fundraising Strategy: Assisting in developing a digital fundraising plan and coordinating online donation campaigns.
    • Donor Communication: Helping us maintain professional relationships with supporters and reporting on the impact of their contributions.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in grant writing, professional writing, or non-profit fundraising.
    • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
    • A compassionate heart for prison ministry and a commitment to social impact.
    • Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively via email or video calls.
