Description
Key Responsibilities:
Review and draft legal documents such as MOUs, NDAs, partnership agreements, and sponsorship contracts
Advise on nonprofit governance, bylaws, board responsibilities, and state/federal compliance
Guide the organization through trademark, licensing, and intellectual property protections
Provide legal support for grant agreements, fundraising initiatives, and donor relations
Ensure risk management and liability protections for events, volunteers, and programs
Assist with real estate and facility acquisition processes (e.g., property donation or lease agreements)
Offer legal input on employment, independent contractor, and volunteer agreements
Support policy and procedure development (e.g., privacy, refund, and media consent policies)
Qualifications:
Active law license in Georgia (or ability to consult pro bono under supervision of a licensed attorney)
Strong understanding of nonprofit law, 501(c)(3) compliance, and charitable organization regulations
Experience with contracts, risk management, and governance for community-based organizations
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and professional ethics
Passion for advocacy, inclusivity, and supporting neurodiverse families
