AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care of Washington, DC needs certified pet therapy teams to visit our patients living in their own homes and in nursing facilities throughout DC . Visits from pets and their human counterparts can lift hospice patients' spirits, be a calming presence, and make them smile at a time they need it most. If you're already a certified pet therapy team we want to hear from you! If you would like to be certified, check out petpartners.org or tdi-dog.org, then contact us after you have completed the certification process.
The human member of the pet therapy team must complete direct patient volunteer training and screenings.
