    Description

    Hospice companion volunteers visit with our patients in their homes or nursing homes. These visits provide companionship to our patients and provide much needed relief to primary caregivers to take time for self-care. Common activities our volunteers do with our patients include:

    • Reading to the patient
    • Sharing stories
    • Playing games
    • Home patients can sometimes use additional support including light house work, meal prep, or yardwork

    Since we are dealing with such a vulnerable population - we will require a background check, drug screening, TB test, physical, and online educational videos.
