About the Role:
We’re seeking a creative, motivated Social Media Volunteers to help bring the energy and impact of the ABC7 Gibbons Run to life online. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event marketing, nonprofit communications, and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and schedule engaging social media content (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn) leading up to the event.
- Capture and share stories about participants, teams, and sponsors.
- Assist with on-site content creation on event day (Saturday, May 30).
- Help monitor engagement and respond to community interactions.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
- Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Interest in marketing, communications, or nonprofit work.
- Availability to attend the event on May 30, 2026, is preferred
