Description
We are building a healing-centered team of individual Certified Peer Specialists who are passionate about supporting survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence through non-clinical, trauma-informed peer support.
We are currently looking for CPS volunteers who are available to facilitate both in-person and virtual peer support groups, with groups currently slated to begin in October 2026.
This opportunity is ideal for Certified Peer Specialists who:
- Are passionate about survivor-centered and trauma-informed support
- Have lived experience and formal training in peer support
- Are comfortable facilitating group-based peer support
- Can facilitate either in-person, virtual, or both types of groups
- Want to build connections within the Philadelphia community
- Are committed to creating a safe, empowering, and supportive environment for survivors
What you'll do:
- Facilitate scheduled peer support groups
- Create a welcoming and supportive group environment
- Encourage connection, shared experiences, and empowerment
- Support participants while maintaining appropriate peer-support boundaries
- Collaborate with Project S.A.V.E. staff around group needs and participant support
