Description
Skate Clinic Instructors work one-on-one with kids of all ages to learn the basics of skateboarding at our Skateboard Trade Up and outreach events.
Instructors compassionately help build confidence and show participants support. Meeting students where they are, skate instructors play a pivotal role in helping kids live strong, resilient lives by working with them through every fall-and-try-again moment.
This role is great for social, personable and outgoing individuals who have experience skateboarding and feel comfortable teaching kids of all ages and levels.
Requirements:
- Have at least two (2) years of experience skateboarding
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
- You are comfortable working with children and youth of all ages
- Help foster a positive, fun learning environment for kids to thrive in
- All volunteers must sign a liability waiver
- All volunteers age 18 and over require a background check if working with youth
- Volunteers age 18 and under require a consent form signed by a parent or guardian
- Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult
