    • Client and Volunteer Matching: Assist in screening applicants and matching senior clients with compatible volunteers based on location, availability, and shared interests.
    • Volunteer Coordination: Support the management of the volunteer team, including initial contact, scheduling first visits, and sending welcome/follow-up communications.
    • Client Communication: Assist in ongoing communication with both senior clients and volunteers (monthly or as needed) to gather feedback, address questions, and resolve concerns.
    • Administrative Support: Help with program documentation, including ensuring volunteer hours are recorded weekly and filing client registration forms and codes of conduct.
    • Problem Resolution: Aid in addressing and resolving concerns from volunteers or seniors to ensure the effective management of the program.

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., Social Work, Non-Profit Management, Gerontology, Psychology, or related field).
    • Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the duration of the internship (3–6 months).
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • A compassionate and respectful approach to working with older adults and volunteers.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or G Suite.

    Program Benefits

As an intern, you will contribute directly to a program that provides:

    • Personal Growth: The fulfillment of making a significant difference in someone's life, a sense of purpose, and joy of building new friendships.
