The JakeyMac Foundation is a dynamic 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming youth education through innovative, screen-free, audio-first learning, gamified competitions, and vital career prep. We bridge the gaps left by traditional schooling by equipping underserved and under-resourced youth with high-paying STEM career pathways, critical problem-solving, resilience, leadership, and essential life safety skills.
Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Development / Fundraising Director to serve as our lead Revenue & Relationship Builder. In this crucial startup role, you will secure the financial resources needed to keep our doors open and our programs thriving. By focusing on grants, major donors, corporate sponsorships, and creative fundraising campaigns, you will help us transition from relying on out-of-pocket costs and volunteer time to achieving a stable, predictable budget.
Even the most impactful mission cannot survive without funding. Your leadership in this role will lay the financial bedrock that allows our youth education programs to scale and impact generations to come.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Design and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel fundraising strategy targeting grants, individual donors, and corporate partners.
- Corporate & Major Donor Relations: Cultivate relationships with local and national businesses, community leaders, and major donors who align with youth empowerment and STEM education.
- Campaign Management: Plan and oversee peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, online drives, and special events.
- Grant Oversight: Collaborate with our grant-writing team to align proposals with our overarching financial goals and institutional funding targets.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, business development, or sales leadership.
- Exceptional relationship-building, networking, and public-speaking skills.
- Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of nonprofit revenue models, donor stewardship, and campaign tracking.
