    Description

    We Need Knitters and Crocheters!

Our hospice organization is in need of volunteers with wonderful knitting and crocheting skills for our We Honor Veterans program. Volunteer knitters and crocheters create lap blankets for our hospice patients who are Veterans. The lap blankets are presented to our Veteran patients during Veteran ceremonies, which provides the opportunity to thank our Veteran patients for their service. Our Veteran patients love receiving these hand-made gifts. You will be creating a touching memento for our Veteran patients and their family members that they can cherish for a lifetime. We can provide all of the supplies necessary to make these lap blankets. Knitters and crocheters can select the pattern of their choice. If you would like to become a Lap Blanket Volunteer, please contact Rebekah Welch, Volunteer Coordinator, at 302-533-3800 or rebekahwelch@accentcare.com
