About Global Paint for Charity

Global Paint for Charity (GPC) is an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated to recycling, repurposing, and redistributing surplus paint to protect the environment and transform lives. Since 2010, GPC has recovered over 5 million gallons of paint, beautifying homes, shelters, schools, and community centers in more than 44 countries. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bring color, dignity, and hope to those who need it most—one gallon at a time.

About the Volunteer Program

Join our Community Beautification Day of Service and become part of a movement that uses color to uplift those who served, struggled, or sacrificed. Volunteers will help paint homes for veterans, seniors, widows, and families in need, as well as beautify homeless shelters, community centers, and local landmarks that empower residents every day.

In past events, Global Paint for Charity has partnered with leading organizations such as United Way, Hands On Atlanta, Bank of America, Comcast, UPS, SunTrust Bank, and Georgia State University, engaging hundreds of volunteers in acts of service and unity.

Our most recent project, in collaboration with Young Professional Leaders/LINC, Youth United Atlanta, and the Empire Board of Realists, brought together 80 volunteers to transform a historic building into a brighter, more welcoming space for women and minorities pursuing entrepreneurship and financial education.

What You’ll Experience

“This is the first time I’ve painted anything—besides my nails! I got to spend time with friends, meet new people, and give back to my community. I loved every minute of it!”

Who We Need

We welcome corporate teams, civic groups, university clubs, young leaders, retirees, and individual volunteers who want to make a difference. No prior painting experience is required—just bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a willingness to help!

We also encourage volunteers to bring leftover paint from home projects for responsible recycling and reuse. It’s a simple way to reduce waste and help us create brighter spaces during the event.

Materials & Supplies Needed

To make each project successful, we are seeking donations of the following items:

• Full-size rollers (3/8 nap) & roller handles
• 3–4 inch paint brushes for trim
• Drop cloths & painter’s tape
• Paint scrapers, putty knives, and razor blades
• Screwdrivers, hammers, and ladders
• Paint primer, sponges, and mops
• Gloves, paint hats, and masks
• Sprayer and paint mixer
• Pressure washers

In-kind donations or supply sponsors are deeply appreciated and acknowledged publicly on our website and social media.

As we look to the future, Global Paint for Charity continues to expand its programs to reach more communities, empower local artists, train youth in sustainable practices, and inspire everyone to “paint the world beautiful.”
