Description
Making a difference for those at the end of life can have a profound effect on our lives and the lives we touch. As a volunteer, you'll offer support and companionship to those dealing with a terminal illness. We serve both adults and children. There are many opportunities to share your unique talents and gifts, including:
- Companionship- friendship and emotional support to patients and families
- Respite- relief for caregivers, allowing them to recharge and receive a much-needed break
- Legacy Art Program - creating a lasting memory for children and adults through art projects
- Heart Touch - use your training and gift of touch in the most powerful way possible: to help alleviate the pain and isolation
- No One Dies Alone - support for those without family or loved ones at the end of life
- Memory Bears - creating and sewing bears as legacy gifts to comfort the bereaved
- Office/Administration - sharing your time and organizational skills to support our team
We provide orientation and training *Hours are flexible*
Our offices are in Cerritos & Torrance, and our patients live throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County and surrounding Valley areas so you are able to volunteer close to home.
